and the next single is... The Story of Our Lives.
It's really hard to explain how we feel about this song. It's truly an anthem of sorts for us. It's a song about where we're from and where we're going. I feel like it's by far the most important track on the album. I'm not sure why I feel that... I just do - I think you'll understand when you hear it... I hope you will, anyway. :)
Calling all amateur photographers!!
We want an EG fan to be a part of this next release. We're looking for a photo to grace the cover of the Story of Our Lives single. We're open to anything, black & white would be preferred - but color is fine, too. Think "The Story of Our Lives" when you're going through photos... whether it's pictures of children, or people walking, or the sky, or whatever - send it on. There is no cash prize - the winner would get full photo credit which is cool when your picture is on a nationally-released cd, as well as contribute to the art of The Echoing Green - which is the most exciting part for us. Please email jpegs (if you win, we'll ask for a high-quality scan - or you can mail it to us - but for now low to mid-res jpeg is fine). You can email them to: submissions@echocentral - the deadline is April 20th.
Needless to say, you must own the rights to the photo. Please don't cut pictures out of time-life and send them to us - they need to be YOURS. ;)
New mailing list...
Well, we ditched the bCentral service that used to handle Echolalia. This new list provider has been super-great so far. I've been on the receiving end of a couple mail lists hosted by them over the last couple years and have had no hassles. I don't see any coming up for any of you, but if you do run into a problem - please email us!
We wanted to say thanks to all the cool people we met at Autobahn 2 in Ohio. We had a total blast and look forward to seeing you all again!
I know this is a short little update, I promise a longer one later! I figure the release of Winter is big enough news for now - it's been almost a year in the making and it's finally here. You might love it (we hope!) or you might think it stinks. Either way is ok - we're just excited to share it.
